Inspiration
This story grew out of a deeply personal season in my life. I had always believed I trusted God, but when circumstances forced me to face reality, I discovered that my trust was only surface-deep. With no clear path forward and no future I could imagine, I was left with only one choice, to lean fully on God for guidance and hope.
Sometimes we think we’ve reached the end of our rope, trapped with no way out. But even when we cannot see it or feel it, God is always working in the background for our good. He never sleeps, and He can make a way when there is no path before us. Trust isn’t easy, it’s forged in the hardest moments, in the places that test us and push us to our limits.
And in those seasons, we often begin to question everything, our choices, our purpose, even our calling. That’s something Simon wrestles with in The Battle for Love as his own life unravels in ways he never expected.
It was there, in that place of surrender, that I began to learn what real trust looks like, not just in words, but in the lived reality of faith when everything else has fallen away. Simon’s journey mirrors that truth: that faith becomes most real when life looks nothing like we thought it would.
