Rachel was a sweet, caring girl — full of life, curiosity, and a strong faith in God. But losing her mother at a young age left a crack in the foundation of that faith — one she never quite knew how to mend.
Still, life carried on. There were good days, laughter, and enough stability to
convince herself that things were okay.
Until one fateful night changed everything.
In the wake of that night’s devastation, her father made a promise — one that mattered more than he could ever know. But he broke it. And that betrayal shattered what little trust Rachel had left — in him, in God, and in the idea of love itself.
Now older, Rachel has learned to live without faith.

Inspiration
The inspiration for The Battle for Faith came from wrestling with one of the hardest questions believers face: what happens when tragedy shakes the foundation of your trust in God? This story follows the journey of someone who, after an unthinkable loss, lets grief and anger harden into doubt and distance. Faith, once central, becomes a wound too raw to touch.
But this is not just a story of brokenness — it’s also about the relentless grace of God, who meets us in the ruins of our choices and gently calls us back. It explores the painful honesty of wrestling with unanswered prayers, the temptation to walk away, and the surprising ways God can use even our anger and despair to draw us nearer.
At its heart, The Battle for Faith is a story of restoration. It is a reminder that even when we abandon our faith, God never abandons us — and that His love has the power to rebuild what grief has shattered.
