Inspiration
This story began with a simple idea: to write a Young Adult novel built around the classic enemies-to-lovers trope. At first, it was about a high school setting—the new kid, a naive and devoted Christian, and the popular, seemingly untouchable cheerleader who ruled the school. But as the story unfolded, it became much more than that.
I began to wonder: if someone despised you, mocked your faith, and treated you as if you were worthless, how far would you go to still show them the love of God? Could you keep living out your faith when everything in you wanted to give up? And what happens when, against all odds, feelings grow for the very person who embodies everything you are not, and everything you thought you could never love?
At its heart, this story is about sacrifice—the kind of love that risks everything, even when it is costly, in order to reflect the relentless love of God.
