Story Behind the Band

It all began with two friends, Kyle and Aaron, who discovered a shared love for music as college freshmen. What started as casual jam sessions quickly grew into a deeper friendship. During this time, Aaron invited Kyle to a Campus Crusade meeting—an encounter that changed everything. It was there Kyle found the truth and salvation in the God he had been running from his whole life.

Shortly after his new journey of faith, Kyle met Elena, whose encouragement and steady influence helped ground him and foster real transformation in Christ. With her support, Kyle and Aaron grew more passionate about their music. As Kyle poured himself into writing original lyrics, the dream of forming a band began to take shape.

It wasn’t until their final year of college that God brought a few others into their lives—musicians who shared the same desire to play for His glory. Together, they officially formed a band.

The name Chasing Outcasts came from Kyle himself. Once convinced he was an outcast, beyond God’s reach, he realized that God had lovingly chased him down and brought him to the very truth he desperately needed. Now, as a believer on fire for Christ, Kyle embraced the mission of chasing other outcasts—rescuing the lost, pointing them toward hope, and helping them discover the freedom that could only be found in Jesus.
